TVSN commenced broadcasting in 1995 from their headquarters located in Lane Cove, Sydney, within four years of its commencement it got listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1999. In 2004 the network came under the ownership of Innovations Direct Pty Ltd which is an Australian home shopping company that had produced for the channel number of direct catalogue purchases with its homecare and innovative magazines.
Many of the Australian pay television services cart TVSN in their subscription packages these service include Optus TV, Foxtel and Austara, previously it was being carried by Neighborhood cables. The channel can air free through Optus C1 satellite and broadcast live through the video stream of the channel.
In September 2012, TVSN was accessible for free to air for metropolitan viewers and TVSN joined to broadcast channel on LCN14 as data cast service. In December 2012, Network Ten got affiliated Southern Cross Ten and started to broadcast the channel to regional audience on LCN54. From 20th August 2013 Kordia started to broadcast a local version of the channel on LCN20 so that the audience of New Zealand would avail the free view terrestrial service which was taken from SKYTV Satellite Channel New Zealand.
